More about the trip

Blackpool
Britain's most popular holiday destination (16 million visitors each year!) is not the average traditional seaside resort. OK, it does have a beach, sea (if you don't mind walking), fish & chips, amusments and silly hats, but it is also home to some of the biggest and best attractions in the country.

You could try Blackpool Pleasure Beach - a theme park with 125 rides and the largest concentration of roller coasters in Europe (10) including the Pepsi Max Big One (the tallest, fastest rollercoaster in Europe).

Or howabout Blackpool Tower - the 158m high and 114 year-old tower (looks like a mini-version of the Eiffel Tour in France).

Or maybe you would prefer walking out on to one of the 3 Victorian piers (big, long metal things which reach out to sea) for amazing views of the town and out to sea.

What ever you like doing, we have loads of ideas and suggestions to help you make the most of your day, but be prepared... Blackpool is big and it's loud - you will see why Blackpool is the 2nd most visited place in the UK after London!
