More about the trip
Below is information about things we're going to do. Like all our trips, the activities are free or included in the price and you can choose to do as much or as little as you want with us.

The North Wales Coast
We spend Saturday on the coast, first at the ancient walled town of Conwy with its big, big castle, and the smallest house in Britain, then at the Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno where we climb the Great Orme (a small mountain/big hill where, apparently, it is common to be abducted by aliens!) for some amazing sunset views across the bay. After some traditional seaside cuisine (fish and chips, oh yes, we’ve got style), it’s back to our hostel.

The Mountains & Forests of Snowdonia
On Sunday, there’s time for a walk on the beach before we head off through the Snowdonia forests to Aber Falls - one of the highest waterfalls in Wales. Then back on the bus, a quick stop on the island of Anglesey at the small town with the big name (too long to write here - it’s the longest in Europe!) and a drive through the mountains past Snowdon, the highest mountain in England and Wales (1085m, 3560ft). We stop for lunch in the Snowdonian town of Betws-y-coed.

Aled Owens' hill farm
After lunch we leave the mountains for the green hills of the Borderlands, and the farm of our friend Aled (he was the World Sheepdog Trials Champion!). He'll give us a working sheepdog demonstration, teach us about local breeds of sheep and if we're lucky show us his puppies (yes, really)
