More about the trip

Warwick
Castle

The highlight of the day will definitely be our visit to Warwick Castle. In 914 Ethelfleda daughter of Alfred the Great built a wall to protect the little town of Warwick, 250 years later the mighty Warwick castle was built.  When we go we'll see the stunning 800-year-old castle and activities including jousting, archery, falconry and combat shows. Plus the world’s biggest siege machine, the mighty trebuchet will be shot twice daily in a jaw-dropping spectacle, set against the stunning backdrop of the Castle.

Historic town of Warwick
Warwick is a beautiful little town famous for its medieval castle, the oldest boys school in England, one of the UK's leading universities and beautiful historic architecture. After our visit to the castle, you will have time to look round the town's very old and beautiful buildings - some of them built 600 years ago!

Stratford-upon-Avon
Stratford-upon-Avon is a small market town where the playwright and poet William Shakespeare was born in 1564. You can see old houses relating to his life (where he was born and his daughter's house) and his death (the house in which he died and the church where he was buried). We are going to spend the afternoon in the town; we will show you the main sights on our orientation walk, then you will have free time to explore.
