This spectacular city, with its killer combination of castle and cathedral sat on high cliffs overlooking the winding river below was one of the first places anywhere in the world to be designated a UNESCO World Heritage site, along with the Taj Mahal and Palace of Versailles.
Now just as famous for its part in portraying Hogwarts Castle in the Harry Potter films, the city tells a tale of rebellious northerners ruled over by a dynasty of Prince Bishops, brought to this awesome location by divine intervention...and a very special cow.
