Even back in the 18th century Brighton was the perfect place to party, and today nothing has changed.
There may not be playboy Princes partying in the absolutely bonkers Royal Pavillion anymore, but this seaside town couldn't be livelier. With one of the UK's largest gay scenes, massive festivals and legendary gatherings of bikers from rival groups the mods and the rockers there is always plenty of entertainment. Walk the pier, play the arcades, get some ice-cream, grab a deckchair, catch some sun and (if you're brave enough) have a paddle in the English Channel.
