Birmingham
You'll find it in 'Brum'
As the birthplace of numerous industrial inventions, Birmingham (or Brum – as locals call it) developed extensively during the Victorian Era, and used to be called the City of a 1000 Trades for its range of businesses. The city has more canals than Venice (!), although not all as picturesque as in the Italian city.
Destroyed during WWII, Birmingham has since been massively redeveloped and is now the second largest city in the UK (with almost 1 million people), after London. It is also one of the main shopping and cultural destinations in the country.

"I thoroughly enjoyed my DBAT experience! Everything was great and it was a good balance of having planned activities and also having time to explore. Our trip leader was awesome, and I would recommend it to anyone! Thanks! " - Jenna, USA (Oct 2013)
