The bold & beautiful capital of Scotland.

With its winding medieval streets and Castle high upon an extinct black volcano that dominates the skyline, Edinburgh, is an ancient city with some seriously breathtaking views. It’s easy to see why the capital city of Scotland was home to Kings and Queens, has been voted one of the most desirable places to live in Europe and is the second most visited place in the UK after London.

Although small in size, and easy to get round, Edinburgh is big on entertainment, packed full of the famous sights including the Scottish Parliament, Palace of Holyrood House, Royal Mile and Princes Street. The city is full of free museums and art galleries, the coolest bars, clubs, cafés and restaurants, ghost tours and walks.

Coming with us you'll see all of the above and discover the 'birthplace' of Harry Potter, climb Arthur’s Seat, and of course, find men in kilts, taste Scotland’s national dish, Haggis, and the water of life, whisky.

How much could you squeeze into one of our trips to Edinburgh?

"I thoroughly enjoyed my experience! Everything was great and it was a good balance of having planned activities and also having time to explore. The accommodation was great, Ancor was awesome, and I would recommend it to anyone! Thanks!" - Monica, America (Nov 2015)

"The whole trip was fun: quiz, stories, walking together, waiting for late students, taking pictures with super pretty sceneries and so on. I really love to travel again with don't be a tourist." - Kyi Kyi (Sussex Uni) March 2016
