Part-time Operations Co-ordinator in Leeds
We are looking for a seriously organised person to help us deliver awesome trips to visiting international exchange students and provide a service that puts us at the top of their ‘The things I most liked about Britain’ list.

Role: Operations Co-ordinator
Location: Headingley Campus, Leeds
Hours: 20 hours / week over 4 week days (plus upto 2 – 3 weekends away per semester)
Term: Part-time, permanent contract
Salary: £18,500 - £21,500 pro rata (depending on experience) plus profit share.
In a nutshell, we need someone to play a crucial role in managing the administration and organisation of our day-to-day tour operations, and play a big part in the continuous development of our product range. What our customers and team experience when out on tour will be down to you.
Your role
- You’ll be planning trip itineraries and booking and negotiating accommodation, coaches and restaurants within pre-determined budgets, while maintaining the high standard of our trips.
- You’ll be recruiting trip leaders and local guides, arranging and carrying out their training and inductions and be responsible for making sure they’re at the right place at the right time.
- You’ll take on responsibility of ensuring the safety of our customers and staff by completing risk assessments, and keeping everyone informed via mini-guides, handbooks and the DBAT website.
- You’ll be researching trip destinations to prepare maps and information sheets for our customers and to give our trip leaders the information they need to keep things running smoothly.
- You’ll be analysing feedback from customers, trip leaders, drivers and suppliers to make constant improvements and ensure that every one of our trips is awesome.
- Last but not least, you’ll be constantly tweaking our business systems and carrying out administrative tasks to support the continuous growth and development of our products.
Your skills & experience
- You will have a great degree (or equivalent), be incredibly organised and a have high attention to detail.
- You'll be the kind of person who enjoys being trusted to get on with things, likes being busy, and has an uncanny ability to remember all the little details that make something brilliant.
- You will be tech savvy and confident trying out new software to get things done effectively.
- Being in regular contact with our trip leaders, local guides and suppliers you will need to have excellent communication skills on the phone, face to face and in writing.
- Having experience of what it’s like to study or work in another country would be a bonus, as would being a keen traveller.
- You'll have strong admin skills and experience (if this has been within Operations, then all the better).
